2018 Dodge Demon

The 2018 Dodge Demon at the New York International Auto Show

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles shocked the automotive world with the introduction of the Dodge Demon.  It’s essentially a Dodge Challenger Hellcat on steroids.  Even though the Hellcat is already on steroids.  So the Demon is like on double steroids.  If that’s even possible.  And now the 2018 Dodge Demon is available in Rhode Island at Elmwood CDJR in East Providence.

Here are just a few of the jaw dropping statistics that the Demon brings to the party.

840 horsepower

Staggering.  More than a Camaro ZL1, Shelby Mustang or even a Ford GT.  With the new Demon, you might have the most powerful vehicle in Rhode Island.

770 pound-feet of torque

Huge torque.  Helps with the low end grunt needed to put the Demon’s 840 horsepower to the ground.

6.2-liter HEMI Demon V8

Take the supercharged engine from the 707 horsepower Hellcat, then upgrade more than half of the components to make the 6.2 liter engine found in the Demon.

G Forces:1.8 G

1.8 is the highest G-force for a production car, (according toa spokesperson for Dodge)

0-30 Time:1 second

Blisteringly Fast

0-60 time: 2.3 seconds

Quicker than a V16 Bugatti Chiron.

Drag Strip Quarter Mile: 9.6 seconds

Faster than anything from McLaren, Porsche or Ferrari

RPM Limit: 6,500 RPM

The engine on the Demon is limited to 6500 RPM’’s. Slightly higher than the Hellcat’s 6350 RPMs.

 Price: $86,090

That might sound like a lot, but it’s just over $20,000 more than the much more common (but still outrageous) 707 horsepower Dodge Challenger Hellcat $64,295

Training: Bob Bondurant

A full-day session at the Bob Bondurant School of High-performance Driving comes complimentary with the purchase of your new Dodge Demon.  And you’ll need it.  This monster isn’t easy, but a day of one of the best driving schools in the country should help.

Dealer: Elmwood CDJR

Elmwood is the Authority on all things Dodge in Rhode Island.  Well known as Elmwood Dodge before recently adding the Chrysler, Jeep and Ram franchises, Elmwood has been the Dodge headquarters in Rhode Island for more than half a century.
