What they’ve come up with shows much more of the redesigned grille that will apparently adorn all front ends of Hyundai’s electric offerings. Because electric vehicles don’t need the cooling of the ICE, it’s common to have revised “closed” grilles for better aerodynamics.
The new 2019 Kona Electric will have a best in class driving range of nearly 300 miles, and will come with most of the available with passive and active safety technology and driver assistance features.
Hyundai has said there will be two different powertrains available, and one of them will be one of the most powerful electric engines on the market.
The online premiere will take place on February 27th.
The 2019 Kona Electric is slated to be on sale this summer in Europe, and is rumored to be available for sale in the US shortly after.
